ello, my name is Alan Rothe, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I'm a Scientologist, an educator, a husband and a father. I play the piano and compose music of a wide variety. I play tennis and run for exercise. My other hobbies include almost anything creative, from writing to painting, from directing school productions to doing creative projects. My passion is people.

      I was born and raised in California--Novato, Marin County. I then moved to Oregon where I've lived and worked for the last 20 years. I live and work at a unique boarding school named The Delphian School, where I have the opportunity of working with students from various backgrounds and locations in the world, but with the common purpose of achieving a quality education for themselves.

     I never tire of working with children and consider that "teacher burnout" is a poorly identified byproduct of accumulated failures. It can be a tough job, but the school I work for uses educational breakthroughs by philosopher and educator L. Ron Hubbard. These breakthroughs enable teachers to better access the students' own purposes and abilities and, as students grow, give the students themselves simple but highly effective tools for learning. Does it work? Truthfully, you have to see it to believe it. It works. And it gives my passion a clearcut channel.
