If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Evolution of a Science.
This book really helped me to understand what the mind actually is and why people think and act the way they do. This book is excellent for anyone wanting to know about why people act irrationally.
