My Success in Scientology

My name is Alma Pendergrass and I am a teacher of English as a Second Language. I have been studying Scientology and Dianetics for 15 years.

I was extremely interested in Dianetics when I found out about it and went immediately to the Dianetics Center in Miami to take a course. What I learned was astonishing and it cleared up a lot of whys in my life. Why do people act like this? Why do the same things keep happening to me? I remember I saw the Sybil movie on T.V. and I thought, “hey, why in the world is she going through years and years of therapy when she only needed a few Dianetics sessions?”

I became a Dianetics auditor* after a few months and I started auditing people and receiving auditing. Here is my all time favorite “success” with Dianetics so far.

     1. A student of mine had witnessed a horrible, horrible sight. She walked into a room where a man had been murdered in a very brutal way. She was extremely distressed and could not study. In fact, she stayed under her desk with her coat over her head, her thumb in her mouth, trembling. This continued for two weeks with no change. I went to her home and got permission to give her a session. (That's the way you help people in Dianetics.)

Without telling you too many details (all counseling are totally confidential), I will tell you that within the hour, she was back to her old self, maybe even better! She said in her broken English, "Thank you, teacher, it's gone now!" The next day she came skipping to class and told me she had slept for the first time since the incident. She told me she loved me and asked me if I had done “magic.” Her parents reported that she was fine at home as well. I was so proud and happy.

I could stay for weeks on end writing down similar incredible occurrences. These are "every day things" for people who use Dianetics in their lives. It takes hard work and patience to make sure you understand and can use the techniques, but the wins are endless. I highly recommend to people who really want to make a difference in the world and in their own lives as well.

* Auditor: someone who is trained and qualified to apply Scientology processing to individuals for their benefit. The term comes from the Latin audire, “to listen.”
