ello, my name is Alyssa Didear, and here is a little bit about myself:

     "Alyssa" comes from Greek and means "curing insanity." People used to use Sweet Alyssums, the flower, to cure people of rabies, and that naturally led to the more aesthetic meaning of "curing insanity." It fits right in with what I want to do, actually, which is to become a Scientology auditor. (Auditor literally means "one who listens," and refers to a person trained in applying Dianetics and/or Scientology processes and procedures to people for their betterment.)

          Six years ago I moved near Portland, Oregon from Pasadena, California in order to attend the Delphian School. It's a boarding school based on L. Ron Hubbard's study technology. After an amazing four years here, in which I gained more than I could have imagined, I graduated. I spent a year working in various parts of the country and traveling for a few months in Europe with a couple of my fellow grads. Finally, I settled down again at Delphi, and have worked here as a teacher for the past year.

          Singing has been my favorite thing to do for as long as I can remember. At Delphi I started out in the choir and gradually increased my abilities as a singer, while practicing singing for audiences in groups or singly. This was an invaluable gain for me, as I never would have thought I could sing in front of people and cause an effect on them. I'm working now on increasing my abilities further as a musician and finding more opportunities to perform.

          I met Adam Whitworth, my boyfriend of two years, at Delphi. We fell in love after several years of singing together, and a year from now we shall be married. The two of us are moving to Hollywood shortly where Adam will pursue a music career and we both will train to become auditors of Scientology. Look us up!
