I have had some rather life-changing occurrences on my life in Dianetics and Scientology. First, having Dianetics applied to me and then me applying it to others, changed me from an embittered vet that could only sleep a few hours without wakening (sweating or screaming) from nightmares. I sleep well and soundly, seldom dream and when I do they are quite pleasant and refreshing.

     I went from weighing only 119 pounds at the end of the war, not being able to eat a full meal, to being able to eat almost anything that takes my fancy and to have leveled off at 140 pounds, neither gaining or losing weight over these many years. These remarkable changes occurred in about fifty hours of Dianetics counseling called auditing.

     From being trained as an Dianetics Counselor, I have been able to help others change their lives for the better. From the administrative training, I have been able to set up entire corporations, run them, man them up and turn them over to others. Some that I set up as early as 1953 in this manner are running well today.

     The auditing I received and gave in 1950 enabled me to reach a condition called the state of Clear which is described in detail in the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. It took some time doing: long hours, many tears and gnawing frustrations.

     I did not get the way I was over night: it took a long time to be as crunched up as when we started. You might find this to be true for you, as well.
