My Success in Scientology

“Make a mental picture of a cat. Who is looking at that cat? You are.” That was my introduction to Scientology over 20 years ago. At the time I was attending college and was having doubts about my career path. I was worried that I didn't have the tools to succeed. One thing I knew for sure was I did not want to be trapped in some business world machine, putting out products that might not really help anyone. To me there seemed to be a spiritual side to life, not just a materialistic one. I was searching for something to give meaning to my life.

I've always been a bit of a doubter, especially of popular conventional ideas. I'm not one to do things because “now I'm supposed to.” But if someone presents me with information that I find workable and which makes sense, I take that data and run with it.

When I was asked to envision a picture of a cat I realized that this was something that had been totally missed in my Psychology classes. I knew for the first time that I was the one who created the picture and I was the one who was seeing it. It was like being introduced to myself for the first time! All this time I had gone around thinking I was the car when actually I was the one who was driving!

Since that time my life has been an adventure in self-discovery and discovery in others. I've uncovered new vistas of awareness and abilities I never thought I could attain. The whole world around me looks different. Life is now less serious and more of a game. And the future looks very bright.

I invite you to check out Scientology for yourself and see if it makes sense to you like it has for me.
