The first thing that happened to me in Scientology was that when I walked down the same street I walked every day, the street looked new. My increased ability to look and pay attention includes awareness of colors and the harmony between colors. I had a feeling one day of, "Where have I been all these years that I haven't seen all this?" The city, day and night, became a kind of light show. Some years before I got into Scientology (when I was real young), I was concerned with where mankind was headed and whether or not there was hope or possible triumph. In Scientology I gained awareness that however deep a hole man has dug himself into, the horizons of expansion are vast, even limitless. It is a personal win for me that there is a philosophy that cuts into and through the mystery of destiny and the universe. I've even been helped in the writing of my poetry!
