One of my major successes in Scientology has been in the application of Dianetics to others to help them through the difficulties in their lives. For instance, an individual was sent to me who was having trouble with his personal relationships, he was finding it difficult to form a relationship with women, had inclinations towards other men which he didn't want and wanted to be free of this feeling. Well, after a few hours of applying Dianetics—without me telling him what to think or any of that, just getting him to go over the incident he was looking at a number of times—he suddenly found he had changed his mind, the feeling was gone. He was very happy. It was quite something to watch too!

     Another time a 20 year old traveler I was helping was telling me about how as a young girl she had been molested and the various things that happened to her and to which she was subjected. We went over this a few times and she got it sorted out. She left town to continue her travels but 3 months later a fellow traveler turned up to relay this message from her: “Please go and tell Bruce that I am still smiling.” (Something she hadn't really done for some time prior to dealing with this area of her life.)
