ello, my name is Bryan Henderson, and here is a little bit about myself:
I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I am 43 years old, single and I work as a self-employed business consultant. I enjoy playing golf regularly and working out in the gym.
I also am an avid football fan and have enjoyed watching Formula One motor racing since the seventies. It is great to see a Scotsman doing so well and I am sure that David Coulthard can win the world championship!
This will make up for the disappointment of Manchester Utd losing out to Arsenal in the Premiership and Hibs being relegated in the Scottish league.
Music is something I enjoy very much. My favourite artists/groups are Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Kate Bush, Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac, Duane Allman, Jimi Hendrix, Steely Dan, ZZ Top, the Byrds, Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin, to name one or two.
If you have never heard Gram and Emmylou on the few albums they made together then I can strongly recommend you listen to them. They are a musical equivalent of Bogart and Bacall for me. I think it was Elvis Costello who said that their duets were some of the finest ever recorded! I dont disagree with this.
I studied Geology at Bristol University from 1973 to 1976. I see this as being the ultimate subject that trains an individual to observe. One reason for this is that unlike, for example a doctor, a Geologist cant get a verbal response from the subject being studied and therefore relies very much on his or her own observations.
Also in Geology you have to cover a large amount of ground and often it is very difficult to see everything you need to see in order to draw any meaningful conclusions about what you are studying.
I think this also teaches Geologists to be relatively patient. I dont think we tend to jump to conclusions about things! This is one of the reasons why I believe that I decided to give Scientology a chance in May 1981 when I first discovered it while walking down South Bridge in Edinburgh.
I had never heard of Scientology before, so I had no preconceived ideas about the subject. Initially, I relied totally on my own experiences doing the Communication Course and as I derived a lot of benefit from this I did another course afterwards. It is very important to rely on your own first hand experiences, of anything, I believe. In other words, dont take my word for it - find out for yourself.
