ello, my name is Carl Hager, and here is a little bit about myself:
I am married with a daughter. I am a teacher by profession and a writer for fun. I have been a Scientologist since I read Dianetics - The Modern Science of Mental Health in 1970.
I had spent the first twenty years of my life confusedly studying different religions and philosophies and had eventually given up and started doing drugs. What finally changed was reading something from L. Ron Hubbard which said in effect, that my skeptical outlook on religion & philosophy was not only okay, but good. A skeptical "show me", "let me see it for myself" attitude is a way to approach data and sift out what is useable and workable.
Scientology I discovered to my pleasant surprise is the Science of knowing how to
know.
