My Success in Scientology

Mr. Hubbard's writings on the arts available in a book called "Art" have enabled me to create one of the finest small high school choirs in the state of Oregon even though I am not trained as a choral director. I have studied in books and gone to some workshops to learn some the basics of choral conducting techniques. Knowing Hubbard's study technology makes studying effortless and comprehension and ability to apply easy. Most importantly though what sets my groups apart from many of the other good choirs in the state is that I stress communication. Hubbard says in an essay called "Art" that, "The order of importance in art is: (1) The resultant communication (2) The technical rendition. (2) is always is always subordinate to (1). (2) may be as high as possible but never so high as to injure (1)." My students understand that their primary goal in performance is a communication, and as a result, since we push their technical rendition as high as possible, the audience goes away happy. This includes parents and friends at school concerts, judges at festivals or elderly people at a retirement home. I could never have achieved these kinds of results in a field that I was not trained for without the help of Mr. Hubbard's writings on study and art.
