ello, my name is Daniel Lonstein, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was born in South Africa but moved to the U.S. when I was 13. For the last 7 years, I have been involved in the long-distance telecommunications industry. This is a very competitive industry and every company has to be nimble to survive. It is, however, a great industry to be involved in, because you are helping people to communicate with each other, whether across the country or around the world.

          Currently, my wife and I are preparing for our move to Israel. My wife's family lives there, and I also have a large number of relatives living in Israel. Most of our family lives in the Tel-Aviv area, although we have family pretty much all over, including in Jerusalem, Tiberias and Eilat.

          In my spare time I like to pretend I'm a writer. Most of what I write would fall into the Science Fiction or Fantasy genres. Who knows, maybe one day I'll take my writing a little more seriously?

          As you might guess, I also read a lot of Science Fiction and Fantasy. Some of my favorite authors are Isaac Asimov, L. Ron Hubbard, Robert Heinlein, Frederik Pohl, Greg Bear and Larry Niven. My favorite SF works of all time would be L. Ron Hubbard's "Final Blackout" and Isaac Asimov's "Foundation".

          I also enjoy outdoor sports such as tennis, soccer and various water-sports.
