I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world, and I know that if it were not for Scientology, we would not be together today.

          I first met my wife at a party held at a friend's house. We started going out, but six months later we broke up because I had a "big fear of commitment". My wife was ready for a more serious relationship and I wasn't.

          After dating other women for six months I realized how wonderful she really was and knew I should be with her. But I still wasn't ready for commitment. I received some Scientology counseling and it helped me see what I needed to do. Co-incidentally, my wife had also been receiving Scientology counseling during that period and one day she called me up and we met for coffee.

          We got back together and knew we wanted to be together. A few months later, we did something that was one of the best things we've ever done. We went for some pre-marriage counseling at our local Scientology organization. This really helped us to align our goals and purposes in life before we got married.

          I see so many people around me who get married and don't realize until after they've been married for a few years that they have different goals in life. The pre-marriage counseling we received prior to getting married gave us a very stable foundation upon which to build our marriage.

          After all, getting married was only the beginning. And even at the best of times, marriage can be difficult. But I can honestly say that the Scientology counseling we received individually and together before getting married gave us the tools to a successful marriage. I know this because it really keeps getting better every year!
