As an engineer, I look at life from a practical point of view. I address emotions, thoughts, the mind, things concrete and things abstract, all from a mechanical, practical , verifiable point of view. Therefore, my initial contact with Scientology was shrouded in skepticism.
I took a course called Personal Values and Integrity. I considered myself a man of integrity and was not convinced I needed this course, but it was recommended to me as the correct procedure to address my life. I was willing to give it a try, so I proceeded to do the course.
I found the material quite interesting, more so than I had anticipated. Then I came to a point on the course where you apply the data to yourself. I felt I could not do it, I felt quite uncomfortable with the concept, was the course instructor coaxed me to proceed. Although it is a simple procedure, technically, it was wrought with emotion for me, which is out of character for me, I am an emotionally stable individual. I completed the process, and I experienced relief such as I never knew could exist. I found that my sufferings in life were self-induced. I relieved myself of the need to carry a dark cloud over my head. I noticed that the people around me seemed to become friendlier. My wife became more loving, my children more interested in being with me.
I must say that Scientology is a very exact and priactical technology, as I have continued to discover, step by step. I am quite convinced that every one of you can experience some relief or some expansion of your survival by reading some books or taking a course or two. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions about what you should do to learn more about Scientology.
