ello, my name is Francoise Hooks, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a mother of two beautiful and wonderful children, a 10-year old girl and a five-year old boy. My husband and I have been married for almost 20 years. We've had a happy and rewarding marriage overall, with a few rough spots which we were able to handle because of our knowledge and application of Scientology.

     Five years ago, I became my own boss (I have my own sales business), after 15 years of being a legal secretary. The communication skills that I have acquired on the courses I have taken in Scientology have helped me tremendously in those two work areas.

     Being from a family that have always loved to travel (my father was a master mariner and my grandfather was a marine engineer), my favorite hobby is travel, and I've been around the world a couple of times. I came from a country that Is half- way around the world, off the east coast of Africa, called Mauritius.

     I found out about Scientology in January 1978, shortly after I moved to the U.S. I had never before encountered anything that addressed the subject of communication so directly, and with such immediate results. I took a communication course, and consequently was able to make a smooth transition to a new country, a new job, a new language (I already spoke British English; American English was like another language to me), new friends, a new life.

      A couple of years ago, I went back to my country for my mother's 75th birthday and so spent about 4 weeks there. My mother had been having a recurrent cold and I didn't find out about it until week 3 of our stay. I then started to give her Touch Assists, a Scientology procedure which can help relieve pain and speed up recovery after an illness or injury. She immediately started feeling much better, calling me "Doc" and telling me if she had known that I could accomplish such a great result with such a simple procedure, she would have told me about her problem as soon as I had gotten off the plane.
