There was a total change in my musical career as a result of becoming a Scientologist. I remember when I got my first record deal, it was not until after I got into Scientology.
Scientology put me back on track in terms of my goals and really focusing on what I wanted. I had always been working and had done well as a musician before Scientology. I was playing on Broadway shows in New York, etc., but I was not doing what I wanted to do in music - to record and be a jazz player. After a couple of sessions of Scientology counseling, I realized that my career was somewhat off course. This was a big realization for me and right after that I got my first record deal. The technology just kind of fine-tuned my goals.
Through Scientology technology, I was able to bring my new abilities learned in a course in communication to the bandstand and make my music even more consistent. (After all, my music is a form of communication.) What Scientology does is basically validate a lot of things that the being knows to be true for himself and within himself. It makes him very right. And it corrects things that are not right.
For example, when you understand every component of a communication cycle and can do it and see it in others, it basically puts you at cause over all communication. At any moment you can know what is going on, you know the tech of it, just like a person who knows a song inside and out. Not just in music, but in life or any place that communication is happening, you are not in the dark and if it goes awry, you know how to fix it.
Also, when I am doing a television show, or when I go on stage now, I am able to literally be cause over the communication and create the effect I want to on the audience. Before my communication course, I would just go out there and not knowingly being aware of the basics of communication, I would not be as much in control.
