I first heard about Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health through my wife, who received a copy of the book from her sister. My wife read and told me it was a good book and that I should read it. I did and was amazed at what was in it. My wife and I decided to contact the Kitchener organization and see what else they had. Since then I have taken the Hubbard Dianetics Auditor's course, the Child Dianetics course, the New Slant on Life course and the Basic Study Manual course. I am presently taking a course to handle suppression.

     Just after I finished the Child Dianetics course, my son Adam asked me to go with him on a field trip to a Science Centre in the U.S. When I got there with him his teacher announced that "Mr Beyer would be watching 7 boys for lunch". I asked Adam who the boys were. He shied away. I looked at him and asked who picked these seven boys. He said that he did. I asked him why he picked these seven boys and he shied away again. I asked him if it was the worst boys in the class and he said yes. I asked him if he was trying to test me on my Child Dianetics and he said yes. I said "Ok, you're on!" We left the Science Center and proceeded to lunch. During lunch the children and I got along very well because I applied the data that I learned. We had a very good time, well disciplined and no misbehavior. Back at the school the teacher in charge thanked me for coming stating that it was wonderful having someone with them that got along so well with children. The following week I received letters from the students saying that they had a wonderful time and thanked me for treating them like young men and women. The data in this course was excellent and really works.

     I also use the data from the other courses, in my job and when meeting people in everyday life. The people I work with say that I have become a much better person to work with and if they had to work with someone they would rather it be me. I am able to work with them and use ideas from both them and myself and come up with a workable solution.

     My children, brothers and sisters, and my in-laws all say I have become a much nicer person.
