ello, my name is Harriet Schock, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a Songwriter/Recording Artist who has recorded five solo albums and who wrote the grammy-nominated "Ain't No Way To Treat A Lady".

      I was named Best Female Artist by Cashbox Magazine and have won a Dramalog Award for my live concert. My songs have been recorded by Smokey Robinson, Roberta Flack, Nancy Wilson, Lee Greenwood, Johnny Mathis, Carl Anderson, Gloria Loring, Mirielle Mathieu, Manfred Mann, Vicki Carr, The Little Mermaid and Helen Reddy, I have written songs featured in "The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking". "The Last Dragon", ABC's animated "The Secret Garden", and numerous other films and TV shows. My fourth and fifth solo albums, "American Romance" and "Rosebud" respectively, were directed and produced by the legendary Nick Venet.

      I have served for 7 years on the board of governors of the LA. Chapter of NARAS (the Grammy's) and am currently President of Los Angeles Women in Music.

     I teach and lecture on songwriting and consult with professional songwriters around the world. My book, "BECOMING REMARKABLE, For Songwriters and Those Who Love Songs", will be published by Blue Dolphin in September, 1998.
