Before coming into Scientology I was a very unhappy person who continually committed harmful acts against those I loved. I also had a serious drinking problem.
Since coming into Scientology I have become more aware of my responsibilities to myself and others and am a very stable being. I used to think I was the unhappiest person I knew, now I know I'm the happiest. I used to think that I'd be dead before I was 35 and had often contemplated suicide. Now I know I have a great future and everything to look forward to. I have never been happier or more positive about the rest of my (long) life.
Prior to Scientology I had a history of mental illness. After a short time in Scientology, through taking self-awareness courses and examining past incidents in my life, it vanished. This is not insubstantial as I know if I had not found Scientology I would be on psychiatric drugs by now and to put it mildly, not functioning in life.
I often hear people say that Scientology saved their life. I know it saved mine.
I also do better in life, for example at work where I have recently been promoted, I am presently a public sector manager in charge of 20 people and a £2m budget. I am also currently looking to move onto even greater professional things. So whether it be personal or professional, Scientology has given me the confidence and stability to enjoy life rather than endure it.
