My biggest success in Scientology was finding a way to help other people that really works. As soon as I found out how workable the technology was, I became trained as an auditor (an auditor is a practioner of Scientology and Dianetic processes; it literally means "one who listens"). I was amazed at the results I got helping all kinds of people. I learned about Scientology when I was taking a poetry class at the New School for Social Research in New York City. At that time, my poetry teacher was interning as a Scientology auditor and asked me if I would like to experience an auditing session. I did this and after two hours my whole viewpoint of life changed, and I've never been the same since. Specifically, colors became brighter, people became more and more friendly, I enjoyed life and those around me more, and my love for mankind has been growing since.
