About Myself

H ello, my name is Jan Miller, and here is a little bit about myself:

I am the CEO of a musical instrument manufacturing company. I handle the administrative end of the company and my husband handles the production crew. We have more than 20 employees and ship products world wide. I work full time, and I study Scientology about 15 hours a week. I am training to be an auditor because I have experienced the wonderful gains that an auditor can bring about for a person through counseling. I want to be able to give another the wins that I have had in auditing.

I also volunteer one night a week at Criminon. ( A criminal rehabilitation program using the technologies developed by L. Ron Hubbard). We run a program at a nearby prison where we work with the inmates to rehabilitate them. I've been doing this for just under a year. The wins the inmates have in learning to communicate, learning how to study, learning a basic moral code and then learning how to handle suppression in life, bring a criminal from not having changed in prison, to a state where they know they will never return again. They know they can make it in life and they leave with their self respect restored. It's a very gratifying program.

I also work with Boy Scouts, and have for many years. I am a high adventure treck leader and treasurer for out Boy Scout Troop. My husband has been a Scout Master for 12 years, and in that time the troop has turned out many Eagle Scouts, including out son. Our troop meets at the local Catholic Church and I have many dear friends there.

My Interests and How I got into Scientology: At seventeen when a boyfriend gave me the Communications Course for Valentine's Day. After I completed the Success Through Communication Course and did the Student Hat course, which teaches a person how to learn any subject by using L. Ron Hubbard's educational technology.

I ended up getting to the other coast, Washington D.C. and joining staff there at the Founding Church of Scientology and working there for 2 years. During this time on staff I learned a lot about how to run any organization, how to set up administrative lines and this has helped me greatly in business.

My parents and I are very close friend now and they see how much Scientology has done for me and how well I am able to live and enjoy life.

I also like to sail, it's a fun hobby and we get out about once a month. So between being a High Adventure Leader taking Boy Scouts to the Sierras on back pack trips, sailing, working at Criminon, and studying Scientology, I get away from work and lead a very fulfilling life.

I am a member of The Way to Happiness, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, Criminon, Boy Scouts, National Association of Musical Merchants.[End]
