ello, my name is Joan Douglas, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a Senior Citizen, retired school teacher, taught for 26 years teaching reading, math, etc to second and third graders. I have 5 grandchildren and two more on the way. I had four children of my own. I love to read, write children's stories, sewing, and cooking - oh - and most of all - I love teaching young children.

     I once had a student who had fallen and was crying. I had him do one of the many "assists" that L. Ron Hubbard developed. He looked up at me with big blue eyes and said "are you "Mary Poppins"?
