     Let us assume I am exactly like you, but with a few differences.

      At age six, I knew (although it did not become clear enough to state in words until much later) that this life was going to be devoted to "beating death and getting on the train to eternity." Thirty years ago, after a long search, I happened upon Scientology.

      After all the other stuff I had looked into, of course, I gave this a try, too. A few months later (and at the time, I didn't know why) it became clear this was the right stuff. (Naturally, I didn't know WHY this was the "right stuff" because my lifelong quest obscured.)

      As to the rest of my life, you could quote a Buddhist and say it is "illusion" but you know something... it's fun!

      I design software for an insurance administrator (don't tell me about the Y2K "bug" as I'm in the middle of a huge conversion project)... Although my wife of over 20 years died a couple of years ago, I have a new girlfriend, asked her to share the rest of our lives together, and we'll see what she finally answers... I teach at a local private school a course based on the book I wrote "Understanding the U.S. Constitution" because Geez, someone has to make sure the next generation has a government worthy of the name...
