If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with having a definite goal that could be achieved. I had researched and looked into a number of different books and found that all had something to offer but nothing with a finite goal. Dianetics on the other hand said you could attain the State of Clear, for definite. This was something I was willing to go for as it had a real result at the end of it.
