This book really helped me in understanding why people do things they don't want do. Why abused people stay in abused situations. Why they live a roller-coaster hell. Having been in an abusive situation I really made myself crazy trying to figure out what I did wrong. How I was keeping a marriage from succeeding, when I was trying my best to make it work. Now I know it wasn't my fault. I got help for me since my partner wouldn't have it. Now I'm free and not bitter.
