When I first got in Scientology I was a design school student studying to become that "famous designer" that I've always dreamt to be. I am originally from Taiwan and came to U.S.A in 1982, life was tough for me, English is a 2nd language too. The U.S.A. is a different enviroment, I had this unknown future ahead of me and I wasn't sure how to create it. I remember it was when I was about 22 years old, I was doing, "How to Achieve Your Goal" course, and tha course introduced a tool to map out what's my goal and purpose called the "Admin Scale." I would want to have a boutique which sells my own clothing line and I estimated that I would achieve that when I reached 40.

     In 1990, I graduated art school, and in 1992 I opened my own boutique and started selling my own designs and my life was continually improving in 1993.

     I volunteered to design street lights to beautify my city and that news got me into "VOGUE" magazine and while all this was happening, I completely forgot about what I wrote down on my "Admin Scale" since life kept on going.

     Until one day, I was in my workshop looking for a piece of fabric, all of a sudden, something dawned on me! I remember my goal and one thing that did not come true was my age. I was 24 years old, I had a boutique that carries exclusively my own designs, six full time staff working for me, my designs receive incredible recognition, the following years I did two fashion shows, my name appeared on several local newspapers, radio interviews and I was ON TV! I suddenly realized that I have achieved my goal! I am a young female minority who came to this Western land to pursue my dreams. To me, American dreams do come true, for me, they came true through Scientology.
