If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This is the first L. Ron Hubbard book I've ever read and I think every person alive should own this book! Giving a person the knowledge of how the mind really works and why it makes people do irrational things, gives that person a definite sense of themselves. I look at it as a manual on the mind, just as there's a manual to the computer you just bought or to your car, this one is the first manual on the mind we have ever had in man's history.
The crazy thing about it is, it's so basic in its fundamentals, that I still can't believe it took so long for someone to figure it out! The most important discovery in it was the nasty, retarded, completely thick, total dunce piece of the mind called the "reactive mind". The "reactive mind" is the source of all the irrationalities a human being is capable of. L. Ron Hubbard didn't just leave it there, he also gave a solution to the "reactive mind", a way of "erasing" it. That's the process of auditing that I talked about in my introduction. So think about it, you lose your "reactive mind", you become a very sane, very able person; simple as that. When you've got to the point when you've "erased" it, you reach the state of CLEAR. I have not reached the state of Clear yet, but it is now one of my main goals in life.
Seeing this vicious thing called the "reactive mind" for myself, I got a sense of what I'm truly missing out on.......ME! I started to see what I locked away deep inside myself, unintentionally or not, so I wouldn't 'hurt' anymore. Looking at that stuff for what it really is and not some overly emotional sensation, you move on in a confident, more powerful way. The great thing about auditing is you see and feel results right away, but I will add, unless you want to change, you're not going to get much out this, because life to you is already "great and peachy-keen". I see people everyday "searching" for the truth, "searching" for some real help, looking for some answers, it might seem too easy a response, but the answers are in Dianetics. READ IT! It will the best thing you ever did; it was for me!
