Hi there! I've been involved with Scientology for about a year now. I came into the Church here in Vancouver after reading the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. I had seen an infomercial on Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health over two and a half years ago and the idea of picking up the book was always there, but I just kept putting it off. So when I finally got around to it and began reading Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, I became instantly enthralled with what I was reading. "L. Ron Hubbard makes a lot of sense!", is what I immediately thought to myself as I was moving on the book. He seamed to have found some real truth on the mind, answering questions I've had for years about myself and why certain things happen to me that never made any sense.
To say the least, I wanted some auditing right away! Auditing is the process that deals with and handles ALL the crap, garbage, junk and unwanted feelings and sensations, that us as members of the human race have to deal with on a daily basis. This auditing is explained in detail in Dianetics. So when I finally got down to the Church here, the burning question I had was," If everything in this book (Dianetics) is true, then why isn't it public knowledge!" I found out quite quickly that there are many suppressive forces on this planet that don't want people to become sane and begin to truly think for yourself. It's a hard thing to confront at first, but once you do, that's when you can truly move yourself out the "mud" and start finding out some REAL truth.
In the last year that's what I've been doing, finding some truth....and I'm definitely beginning to see it. The first big crack on the head, was realizing that man is a spirit and not a meat body controlled by chemicals and bad genes. I'll add, I came into the Church slightly antagonistic about religion in general and definitely not to willing to believe that I was a "spirit" in any way. The amazing thing is, once you see yourself as a spiritual being and not the body, you immediately start improving. Why? I see that; it's because your dealing with yourself in true form for the first time!
I'll end off by saying that the things L. Ron Hubbard discovered from the smallest thing to the most grand of universal proportions things is all about us and as compared to other religions, YOU CAN APPLY IT TO YOUR LIFE, IT WORKS EVERYTIME and the RESULTS ARE ALWAYS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF YOUR LIFE!!! So if your curious about life or want some questions answered on yourself....or whatever, I can say from experience that Scientology and Dianetics have those answers. Plain and simple, it's a beautiful thing.
