I was working with Sammy Davis Jr. in the show "STOP THE WORLD, I WANT TO GET OFF". I understudied five roles in this Broadway production. One of the other performers in the show and I were walking to rehearsal when I noticed the side door to the theatre where we were to open was open. I wanted to see what the sets looked like. It was dark. Instead of seeing the sets, I fell down a flight of stairs. I thought I had broken my ankle! I got hysterical! The guy I was walking with calmed me down. He applied a piece of Scientology technology that took not only the pain but the swelling away. What my fellow artist did was not only handle my injured ankle, he saved my job. One of the ladies I was understudying injured herself and I was expected to do her part. If my friend hadn't helped me, I would have lost my job. I felt I couldn't thank him enough.
