I have always wanted to understand myself and my fellow man better. I did not succeed in finding any understandable literature on the subject that I could use for anything.

      When I was introduced to the works of L. Ron Hubbard, I was thrilled, as he introduced me to the structure of the mind in a very precise and understandable way which made me realize that changing man into better conditions IS possible with the method described in his books. I decided to go to one of the Dianetics organizations and try out, if it was really possible to remember back to ones birth or even before that with straight memory, as Mr. Hubbard claimed in his book. I went there and had the method applied to me. After very few hours, I found myself, that I am a spiritual being and that it really is possible to remember what has happended to you before. I was greatly relieved as I could feel deep within myself that I was onto some truth - and that this truth was to be found WITHIN MYSELF!

      The hours spent there changed my viewpoints on life completely and my viewpoints have kept changing ever since, because in Scientology you learn how to inspect data for yourself. I always thought I was "MYSELF", but the longer I have worked with the materials of Scientology, the more I have had to admit that a lot of behaviour, habits and opinions have been something I have adopted from others around me - without inspecting them for myself. Gradually I have been enabled to free myself of habits and ideas that weren't really my own, and I have been greatly strengthened in following what I have found was correct for ME. In this way regular depressed moods have completely vanished from my life, and it has been many years that I did not think to myself "what an idiot I am".

      Just as you have laws for the physical universe, you have laws for the mind and the spiritual universe, and those laws are what you study in Scientology.

      Today I can safely say, that I live in the present with all my attention and I am not afraid of the future anymore. Whatever comes, I know I can deal with it!
