I have been in Scientology all my life (my parents were Scientologists when I was born), but it was not until after my first year away at college that I really realized what Scientology could do for me. At that time, I was unhappy in my life and did not like the weak, directionless person I was becoming. My life seemed plagued with difficulties, especially in relationships.
I remember standing in the phone booth at the dorm entrance and staring at the graffiti on the wall while I complained to my mom about the latest crummy thing that had happened in my life. She said, "You know, Scientology can really help with that."
That summer, I began to receive Scientology counseling. After my first session, I was already more cheerful. But that was just the beginning. When I went back to college in the fall of that year, I was a totally different person. I was happier, less affected by life's 'hard knocks,' and interested again in the areas I wanted to pursue. I felt like it was easy to just be ME again!
