ello, my name is Mark Dickson, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was born in Darwin in Australia. I grew up there doing all the things kids do and experiencing the ups and downs of life. When I was 23 or 24 I discovered anthropology and philosophy and realised there was more to it than the usual day-to-day life. I was looking for something on a spiritual basis but didn't know what I was looking for.

     At that time I was working at a pub in the bush in the north of Australia and met a lady that I followed to Adelaide who had a sister who was involved in Scientology. She showed me a book by L. Ron Hubbard which made a lot of sense and gave a very logical way of rearing children. I thought, what could be wrong with a guy who makes so much sense: so I got more interested.

     My girlfriend had a lot of bad headaches so she went along and got some Dianetics counseling. This went so well that she rang me afterwards and told me she felt a lot better after it and that I should try it too,which I did. It changed my life and I have been in Scientology from then on.

     I had been through a heavy cyclone when I was a kid and had a lot of bad experiences from it. Through Dianetics, and going over this area of my life, I discovered that it no longer bothered me and more. From there on, everything else was a natural progression to a better and more successful life.
