L. Ron Hubbard created something called Assists to help us heal each other and get over upsets quickly. There is an assist for almost every situation you can think of. They do not necessarily replace anything else you might ordinarily do they simply assist.

    In our family we use them almost daily, we have three young children and they are active and playful. The most common assist we use is called the 'contact assist' it is used after an injury. It is very simple, it consists of putting the injured part back through the action of the injury. For example if you walked into a low branch on a tree and hurt your head you would carefully approach the branch and gently almost touch the branch with your head in exactly the same spot then move back and do it again until you felt better. It doesn't sound like much until you try it.

    I was in the ceiling of a house once working. I stood up thinking I was clear to do so and hit my head on a cross member. I hit it very hard and it nearly knocked me out. I had to crouch down on all fours for a few Minutes before I could move at all. Once I could stand I did the contact assist for about five Minutes until the pain was almost totally gone. Then I carried on working. Later on that day I touched my head and noticed a sore patch. It was not until then that I realized I had not even though about the injury let alone noticed any pain since I did the assist. I did not get a large lump nor did the sore patch last very long. I am quite sure that without the assist I would have been in pain for days with a big lump on the back of my head ( based on previous experience ).

    You can use this assist on others, I use it by getting my children to show me what happened and where and then getting them to repeat the action until they brighten up which is usually very quickly. My eldest son is four and I have seen him take his 2.5 year old brother through this assist to good result. Scientology makes life easier to live and more fun.

    On another area entirely; In my trade certificate year I did the most basic Scientology study course about three months before the exams. My marks through the year where in the high sixties. In the exams I got eighty nine on one paper and ninety eight on the other. The latter exam was a three hour exam, I finished the exam in an hour and a half and after checking it all for half an hour left having added about two words to my answers. The failure rate on this exam was higher than usual and the other students complained that it was a hard exam! That was a very busy year for me and I didn't have as much time to study, thanks to Scientology I didn't have to. "STUDY SMARTER NOT HARDER".
