Many of us in Scientology come from other religious backgrounds. Some are Catholic, Baptist, Muslim, etc. My background was Latter-Day-Saints (Mormon). Scientology isn't an abandonment of previous belief, but rather an extension into new ideas and concepts.
My biggest success is an entire paradigm shift concerning myself and my abilities. It has shown me new ways to view life and the world around me. It has helped to eliminate self-doubt about my abilities and helped renew my purpose in life. I believe that one must be causative over life; not the effect of it.
I had always looked around at others in my profession and had seen the very successful and the failures. I knew we all had the same training so why the huge discrepancy in success? Why would one doctor just down the road be failing and the other one next door be in the top 5% of his profession? Scientology taught me the answer to that question and so many more. It is truly the only way to understand "the mind". With the knowledge I have gained, I have been able to convert a mediocre life into a dynamic living experience.
In just five years since studying some of the principles, I have taken my practice from average to the top 3% nationwide. My location didn't change. My staff didn't change. My patients didn't change. So what changed? Me! My viewpoint, my paradigms, my considerations all shifted enough to allow me to see things as they really are and not as how others would have me believe that they exist. Scientology taught me how to think for myself.
I am at cause over life, not the effect of it. I invite you to enjoy the marvelous adventure that is Scientology.

I really recommend to people to buy and read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard. It discusses the "reactive mind". A "Clear" is an individual who no longer has his or her own reactive mind. The "reactive mind" explains the hidden mysteries of the mind that negatively influences us without us realizing it. It is the source of fears, upsets, depressions, compulsions and all the uncomfortable emotions we deal with day to day. The best way to find out about the reactive mind is to read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
After becoming "Clear" I found that life was totally different. Happy would be the one word that can best describe life at this point! I don't have the crippling effects of fear, anger and upset coloring my moods and holding me back from my goals. I just go through the day on an even keel. this helps in all aspects of my life. Dealing with life day to day, enjoying it, creating it, having control over it, unencumbered with unexplained fears, anxiety and upsets, is pretty fun. One of the most common comments my employees make is that they are amazed that I don't get upset or stressed. It makes total sense why things are different once you understand how much influence the reactive mind has on you.
This ability to operate without the reactive mind influencing me has changed many things in my life. Work has become a thing to enjoy rather than something painful to endure until next day off. My ability to confront the problems at work and handle them has resulted in a practice that has expanded 300%. I have recently moved to my third new building, five times the size of my former building. It has become easier to handle life; I handle it rather than it handling me. The growth of my practice was just a byproduct of being able to confront and handle life!
I invite you to read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and find out for yourself about how a "Clear" can operate in life!
