ello, my name is Philip Pan, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a professional classical violinist and the concertmaster of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra in Florida. My wife Rhonda, also a Scientologist, is a flutist in the symphony. I have always prided myself in excelling in whatever I undertake - school, music, sports, etc. - but I didn't always believe in myself and was very insecure and awkward around others, even my closest friends. While attending the Juilliard School of music in New York City, I befriended the owner of a bicycle shop who introduced me to Scientology. At first I wanted nothing to do with this activity that I knew nothing about, but after he sat me down to try some Scientology communication drills, I knew I had to find out more (and was I ever bad at the drills!). Since then I have been using Scientology and/or Dianetics every day and learn more about it as frequently as possible. I am a "clear", as described in the book, Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, and I honestly don't know how I got along before this.

     I have many, many more goals yet to be achieved, but I no longer live "a life of quiet desperation", to quote Ralph Waldo Emerson, but play the game of life with confidence and enthusiasm. As long as I'm having fun and helping others, I know I'm on the right track. In 1994, I took services for the first time at a very special Scientology organization called Celebrity Centre International in Hollywood, CA. What a treat - the best service I'd ever had in a beautiful setting with artists everywhere, including some very famous ones. While I have been to quite a few different Scientology organizations and received a lot of great service from all of them, I un-hesitantly recommend CC International to anyone, newcomer or old-timer, artist or not. Just having Sunday brunch there is a heavenly experience!
