ello, my name is Reuben G. Quezada, and here is a little bit about myself:
Well, I practically grew up using Scientology! I guess I'm qualified to say that since I was just a sprightly 19 when I was first introduced to Mr. Hubbard's works. Remember, at 19 -- at least in my case -- when it came to life (relationships, etc.) I was lucky to find the door in the brightly lit room! Don't get me wrong, I was a pretty bright kid and all, graduated from High school, attended Moorepark College in Southern California for Journalism, Photography, Math and English, but when it came to self expression, direction and the like, well...
Anyway, at 43, I am now qualified to state that I have come a long way. I have a pretty good life, a beautiful and talented wife, who has blessed me with two beautiful children, a home and a very sound career in the Credit and Mortgage business.
In my line of work, we help people improve their financial condition by providing direction and finally helping them purchase their first homes. We always tell people "stop paying rent" it's like wasting money in the long run because they build no equity.
I guess, besides my business, the children take up a lot of my time and energy. Justin Alexander is 4 this June 98! He was my first and it was love at first hug. I never thought this level of love was possible until he came into our lives. Just two weeks home, I thought I had always known him and could not imagine my life without him! How could this be I thought, he's only been here two weeks. I called my own father and expressed this feeling and his response was that "it just gets better"! Wow I thought is this what my father felt for me?
Yes, Justin went through some rough times and he's entered the "Daddy, what does this mean? stage in his life. Every day I get riddled with 50 questions on every topic imaginable, from "Why does rain fall?, Where does it go after it falls?" to "where does electricity come from?" to "When I grow up will I have a baby in my stomach like mommy?" Only a parent can truly relate to this last passage!
Christina Marie is just 14 months, walking and starting to form syllables, her first word...Jakey, the family dog! I'm a little more relaxed with her than I was with Justin. She is also beautiful, healthy and bright. She is starting to form "daddee". I won't hold it against the dog, I promise!
We bought our first home 2 years ago. I enjoy photography and working with my hands. You could call me a home improvement enthusiast. I love solving problems. You say your roof leaks? No problem. New window? No problem. Hardwood flooring? Lets get started!
I met my wife at the local Dianetics Center in Orange County, California. We went out for coffee and after our first date, she announced to her roommate that we were to be married. Now, I didn't discover this until after we tied the knot!
I took my first Scientology class in August of 1973. It was called the Communication Course and experienced my first auditing (counseling) on October 24th, 1974. Wow, I thought to myself "this stuff is great" I feel great. My auditor's name was Darci Lombard! A great lady . Her love of life and professionalism were very contagious! I have lost track of her over the years and if she reads thisthank you Darci, it changed my life forever! ( I was quite a pain to work with.)
Auditing allowed me to make my own decisions, decisions based not on what others told me to feel and not on false information. I have been happy ever since! Not happy in a manic manner, but just truly in touch with myself and according to my own value system Do I cry or feel sad sometimes when something bad happens? Of course. Don't forget, the auditing helps put you in touch with you and when you rediscover "you", you are not ever really
lonely.
