If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with Life!! It answered why I reacted the way I did (irrationally), why I was unhappy, why I was so sure of my abilities yet so unable to express them or use them. Why I felt blocked at every avenue of opportunity.
And it told me about others too - why they behave as they do and what to expect of them (good and bad).
Finally it showed me a way to help both myself and others to achieve a better existence and a happier life. And none of it was "airy fairy" wishful thinking. It was good solid understandable fact.
I loved it and didn't sleep for days reading it. I still love it eight years later.
