ello, my name is Richard Law, and here is a little bit about myself:
I am a Scot living in Australia. I moved here with hopes of a better life and a happier time in a "new land". I found it. But not in Australia as such, I found it in Scientology.
Being of a scientific background my first encounter with Scientology was an arms length, cynical one. After all who was this "L Ron Hubbard" and why, if he was so great, hadn't I studied his works at Uni? Why indeed? This is a question I asked as I poured through the Dianetics book I had bought (just to get the Scientologist I was talking to off my back you understand!). This was an amazing book. I would constantly read something and then go bursting into the Lounge room to tell my flat mate about it. He got quite fed up with me in the end and started reading it for himself (just to get me off of his back?)
Then my first trip into a Scientology Organization was an experience. It was different, alive and sort of weird. In a nice way. I bought some Dianetics auditing and did a communication course and that was me - I knew this was a bone fide subject. After all, going back to a painful hospital incident when I was only 6 months old was enough to spin my wits and boggle my poor scientific mind. But it made me feel so good and so relieved I didn't care.
I was so impressed with the whole subject I joined staff and worked there with the other Scientologists in the Church of Scientology Melbourne! I had a ball and learnt so much.
Well that was a few years back. I am now working as an Dianetic's counsellor - known as an Auditor. I still have a deep affinity and respect for Dianetics. It has helped me in more ways than I could list ( or that I would make you read!) and I chose to be an Auditor so that I could help others also have the same opportunity that I had. The opportunity to feel happy and worthwhile again and to have your purpose in living life rekindled. I invite you to try for yourself, you will never look back once you do.
