My Success in Scientology

Before I was introduced to Scientology, I pretty much felt that I had to depend on a lucky break to achieve anything that I valued and desired. I never knew quite what to expect of life or my relationships with friends and family.

One fine day in 1970, I met a young woman who had recently been hired at the company I worked for in New York. She was sparkly and dynamic and amazed everyone in the office with her outstanding job performance. When we became friendly, I asked her about herself and her amazing energy and high spirits. She told me she was a member of the Church of Scientology and that made all the difference.

I was having problems with my family at the time and I discussed some of the instances with her. She never tried to give me any advice (as some of my other friends did) but instead brought over exerts from books such as Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health and Scientology: A New Slant on Life and several other books by L. Ron Hubbard and I felt a sudden hope for the future that I never felt before - just from reading the exerts alone. Pretty soon, I ran out and bought the books so that I could read them fully and as I continued reading, my life took on a new perspective and pretty soon the problems that seemed so serious no longer impinged on my daily life.

Needless to say, when my Scientology friend invited me to come to a lecture at the New York Church, I accepted immediately. This was 28 years ago and I have been a Scientologist ever since then.

Since being in Scientology, life has been very exciting and meaningful. I no longer depend on luck but rather achieve the things that I set out to do and that is a great feeling.
