If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Science of Survival.
This book really helped me with understanding people - how to determine if a person is to be trusted, if they are as they appear to be, etc., and why. I've always been interested in understanding people better and this book helped enormously with that, and so much more.
