About Myself

H ello, my name is Russell Croman, and here is a little bit about myself:

I was born in Seattle, Washington and grew up in that area. My family moved around Seattle in the early years of my life, and finally settled in the north part of the Kitsap penninsula. There, I attended elementary, middle, and high school. I graduated high school in 1987 and went on to attend Washington State University. In 1991 I earned my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. I stayed on for another year and a half at WSU and completed my Master's degree in the spring of 1993.

While working on my Master's degree, I got an email announcing that a small company in Austin called Crystal Semiconductor was looking for engineers. I called up, they flew me down for an interview, and it turned out to be a perfect match. So I moved down and have been working there as a chip designer ever since.

Austin is a great town and has a lot to offer. My personal interests include the local music, windsurfing, hang-gliding, radio-controlled airplanes, my wife (that's her in the picture!), and, of course, Scientology. There's even a Church of Scientology right here in town. Very convenient.

In 1996, I married my wife, Stephanie. She and I met at the local church. She's actually a member of the staff there. We live in a house in the north part of town. Things we enjoy doing together include seeing movies, going out to see musical groups, eating out, going on drives together, and just about any other excuse we can invent to spend time with each other! We've always planned to have children, and I'm very pleased to say that we're now expecting! Our baby is due sometime around mid-January of '99 or so. We're very excited!

I discovered Scientology in the spring of 1994. Since I started studying it and applying it to my life, everything has been changing for the better. I'm happier, I'm developing my career (I recently got promoted to a management position), I found my best friend and made her my wife, we're expecting a baby, etc., etc.

After I graduated with my Master's degree and got my job, I did actually start to go downhill to some degree. I figured I had made it and was pretty much done; I thought I had reached my peak. Boy was I wrong! Scientology opened my eyes and I saw what I was missing![End]
