ello, my name is Sarah Starkey, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I have been a Scientologist for 21 years, since the age of ten. Born in 1967 in San Antonio, Texas, I grew up with my brother who is 4 1/2 years older. I was very much a tomboy and was having a lot of trouble in school getting along with other children. I was easily incited into fights by the boys my age. I was easily frustrated and my grades were showing my disinterest and trouble with studying. I could not sit still and stay focused in class. Eventually I was labeled something equivalent to today's ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and my brother, and my and my mother and I had to see a child therapist together for evaluation. After the first session my mother decided not to continue. Soon after she was introduced to Dianetics by a friend. She began attending seminars and courses regularly and I went with her quite often. I got to take a course called the Children's Communication Course. I became comfortable with other people and not easily upset or baited into arguments. I also fought less. I was able to communicate well with other children. I was even comfortable in class listening to the teacher. My grades got better and I was much happier.

     With each course since I have had great gains. I now work part-time in one of the churches to help others have similar gains.

     I got married in 1994 and my husband and I have been planning to have children in the next year. He works full time in the church as a course room supervisor. I help him part time. We have two cats and two birds. We love to hike, camp and see movies. His hobby is painting. Mine is playing the piano. Both of us have goals to go as far as possible in Scientology and to help others do the same.
