ello, my name is Shelly Paden, and here is a little bit about myself:
I have been in Scientology most of my life. My parents were introduced to Scientology by my aunt in 1967 (I was 6 yrs. old).
My parents were immediately interested in the practical application of the religions (Technological) beliefs toward actual spiritual freedom. In no other religion had they encountered an exact, codified route to attaining spiritual freedom or even defining what spiritual freedom was.
Even at 6 years old I could see that my parents had a renewed interest in life. They also found practical approaches to handling lifes little problems that greatly helped smooth them out. For example, when my brother and I would get into our sibling tendency to fight over things, my parents would have us do communication drills and get us back into communication rather than dismiss us to our rooms. It was fun and much better than the sometimes violent handling I had seen at others homes.
After graduating high school I became a staff member at the Church where I learned to train others to use the applications of Scientology. I liked this so much I did it for 12 years. Currently I am furthering my training in Scientology counseling (full time) and plan to open a field practice in Phoenix, where I live with my husband, dog, cat and
horses.
