I first read the book DIANETICS, THE MODERN SCIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH in 1979, and my life was changed forever. I immediately knew that there was vital information about life that I needed to now and that it was available to me, and that it could be understood and used to improve my world immediately!

     I had already spent more than 20 years of my life studying history, society, religion, science, psychology, and physics seeking an understanding ow this world, mankind and it's spiritual nature. I felt a little wiser, but none better.

     I actively supported and participated in political movements, anti-war efforts, human rights, space exploration, saving the rain forests, saving the indigenous peoples, saving the children, saving the whales, etc. You name it, I had something to do with it, but still felt like my world was being consumed by invisible cancers that would probably wipe out everything that was truly important to me and those I loved, leaving me in dread of what the future may bring.

     Suddenly I had information that gave me a real understanding of life, and most important, things that I could actually do to make my life better and ensure that the future could and would be better. Through the study and application of DIANETICS AND SCIENTOLOGY in my life, I do feel that every day I am contributing to the creation of a world that will be free of insanity, crime and war, while helping those I care about attain happier and healthier lives right now.

     I think the ability to help create a better future for all of mankind is a pretty major accomplishment in any life, however, I have even more. Scientology for me has been the key to finding out about myself. That has been the biggest adventure of all! I have come to know who I really am, and have been absolutely amazed to discover what a good, talented, caring, powerful being that I am, and that my future is full of unlimited potential and dazzling wonder and joy.

     That may just sound like a lot of colorful words to you, but to a girl who grew up in such poverty that starvation was a real threat at times, and fighting survive in the midst of insanity that caused domestic violence that was a hairline from death on almost a daily basis, in a society that felt it was best not to interfere with "family" rights, I never really expected much out of life at all. The success in life I have attained, the personal peace of mind, loving marriage, affluent career, and simple joy of living has changed my life and for all my family and friends, not to mention a lot of people who don't even know me that I have been able to help.

     I will soon be 50 years old, a time for many when the clock seems to be ticking faster and the future seems a little shorter, and many have a harder time thinking about all the things they still want to do. Thanks to SCIENTOLOGY, I just can't wait for the future, and it is more exciting every day! This is a gift I would gladly offer and share with anyone who is interested in the real meaning of life and living. The key to this adventure lies in reading a book by L. Ron Hubbard about DIANETICS or SCIENTOLOGY.
