My Success in Scientology

The biggest problem anyone involved with Scientology has is describing what Scientology is. At the risk of being overly brief, Scientology is the shortest distance between two points—the first point being any problem in your life—the second point being the solution to that problem.

The second biggest problem Scientologists have is in toning down their excitement enough so that people they try to tell about Scientology’s life-improving experiences won’t think they are from Pluto.

Quite frankly, peoples’ expectations for improvement have been lowered so much from the poor results of psychiatrists, counselors, therapists and self-help gurus out there, that they are rightfully skeptical that improvements as dramatic, rapid and lasting, as those commonly delivered through Scientology, are possible. I mean, really, when was the last time you heard a person going on and on about what a great session he had with his therapist?

Scientologists, on the other hand, can’t wait to tell others about their successes – because they HAVE successes – routinely! And these are not just successes, but life-improving, ruin-removing successes.

Here’s perhaps my biggest personal success I’ve experienced:

My youngest son was involved in a serious accident. He had run a stop sign with his bike and ran into an oncoming car. He was rushed by Life Star helicopter to the hospital. Following surgery where they removed his spleen, he lay for days in a coma from a brain injury. After he came out of the coma he was dopey and disoriented, and could not feed himself. I performed a Scientology assist on him called a “Locational” and after twenty minutes had him alert and feeding himself.

Each day for the next week the nurses would wheel him down to the recreation room so that he could while away his convalescence playing video games. They literally had to strap him into the wheelchair with him slumped over to the right for him to be able to play. Plus his coordination was so badly effected by the brain injuries he had poor control over the game and would repeatedly lose in great frustration. So I wheeled him back to his room, closed the door and performed another Scientology assist on him called a “Touch Assist”. This took about forty-five minutes. After supper he was able to sit up in his wheelchair with minimal slumping and win a game of “Super Maio Brothers”. I did these assists on him every day and had him walking down the hall with minimal assistance in two days. When he was transferred to the Children’s Hospital for rehabilitation the next week, the physician’s assistant who did his entry examination told me that he had never seen as much improvement in a child who had received such extensive injuries.

This is the type of things Scientology has to offer. Saving marriages, saving businesses, and even saving lives. And the beauty is, that each life improvement leaves you with new tools with which to handle future problems for yourself and others you know and love.
