One of the most valuable thing I have gained from Scientology is the ability to study and apply any subject. This is no small thing-- to have an absolute certainty that I could take literally any subject that I wanted to apply myself to-- from Anthropology to Zen Buddhism, and just by using L. Ron Hubbard's study technology could overcome any barriers to learning and becoming proficient in that subject.
Although to some it may seen a cliche, it is nevertheless true that Scientology has given me a real and in depth understanding of my spiritual nature, of mankind, life, the universe and my relationship to it. Scientology is like a science and a philosophy and a religion all rolled into one. It has always been in my nature to decide for myself even before I became a Scientologist, and although this science really does give you the ability to really think for yourself (underlined). I think, to sum up in a few words, what it really does is it teaches you the art and science of 'knowing how to know', which, not surprisingly is what Scientology, actually means!
