Understanding the basics of Scientology, such as how the combination of Affinity, Reality and Communication can increase understanding has made an amazing difference to my life. Even this simple tool helps me in my daily life to handle situations that crop up - especially with three teenage children. I have found it important, and rewarding, to be able to maintain that vital link with them, because if they can't talk to me about the hazards and problems they face in this current society, then I am not being the best parent I can be.

     According to my children, ages 13, 15, and 17 years, I am something of a unique mother because of my interest and ability to talk to them about their lives, and their friends, many of whom face either domestic violence or plain disinterest. It is never easy raising children and I am certainly not saying I do it all perfectly, but I am certainly doing a better job of it because of my use of Scientology.

     I also had to have two complete hip replacements about 6 years ago or end up in a wheel chair due to arthritis. Because of Scientology training and auditing I was able to face and handle these traumatic events calmly and come through with flying colors. I am now completely mobile and live a normal life. I was the orthopedic surgeon's star patient as far as recovery and this was due to basic scientology assist procedures.
