ello, my name is Tom O' Brien, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was born in Ireland and came to the US in 1991. I'm a graduate of College University Dublin. I work as a computer consultant and programmer. My hobbies and interests are soccer, swimming, chess and reading sci fi.

     In 1991 while browsing through books in the library in Queens, New York, I came across the Dianetics book. I had heard about Dianetics before and had been curious, so I took it home to read. Afger getting about 2/3rds of the way through the book, I was convinced that this made sense and probably worked.

     I walked myself into the Church of Scientology to find out. I was given a session of Dianetics that day and I have to say that it really demonstrated to me that the reactive mind exists and that something could really be done about it. The rest is history.
