ello, my name is Wayne Raney, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I am a classical musician and teacher in Las Vegas. I am the principal trumpet in the Nevada Symphony Orchestra and Nevada Ballet Theater Orchestra. I am the Brass instructor and coach for the Nevada School of the Arts, The Las Vegas Youth Orchestra, and the Las Vegas Academy for the Performing Arts. I also have a private teaching studio of about 35 students ranging in age from sixth grade to University level. I really enjoy performing and teaching. I guess you could say that sharing and encouraging people to enjoy the passion I have for music is the best job I can think of having. My family of 5 is the best. My wife is my best friend and partner. My 15-year-old son is a freshman at the Las Vegas Academy, a straight A student and plays trumpet really well. Our two dogs are really part of the family and I think they think they are like our little kids. Every chance we get, we like to get out and hike, maybe drive a dirt road and just explore. Living in the west is great for finding old mining towns and just getting out in nature. It’s amazing what you can find when you go out and look. Looking for wildlife is one thing I love to do.

     I got into Scientology when I attended a workshop at Church of Scientology Celebrity Centre Las Vegas. The workshop was on “Stage Fright". As a performing artist, I though that anything that helps me feel more comfortable on stage is a good thing. If you’ve ever stood up in front of a group of people, you know what I mean.
